Why should I join ADK?
You get access to endless opportunities for fun social and recreational activities, discounts, achievement of personal recreational goals, fulfilling volunteer work, protecting New York State’s wilderness, and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.
How much does ADK membership cost?
We offer annual and lifetime membership pricing options:
- Adult, 12 Months: $50
- Family, 12 Months: $70
- Senior (65+), 12 Months: $45
- Adult, Lifetime: $1300
- Family, Lifetime: $1950
What are chapters?
Chapters are a way for you to stay connected to a local group of members. ADK is organized into 27 chapters across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Each chapter is operated by a team of committed volunteers. Most chapters offer programming and activities.
Which chapter should I join?
You can join any chapter in the ADK, regardless of where you live. Typically a member chooses a chapter that is geographically closest to his or her home. No matter what chapter you join, you can always participate in any chapter’s activities. It is also not necessary to join a chapter.

When do I get my member information after joining?
You should receive your information in 2 -3 weeks. If you need a membership card before then, contact us for a temporary card.
How do I get replacement membership cards?
Call or email us. There is no charge for replacement cards.
How do I update my information?
Log into your profile on ADK.org to update your contact information, email preferences, and more.
How do I add or remove someone from an existing membership?
The easiest way to do this is give us a call. If you are sending in your renewal notice, you may also make the change there and we will update your record.
How do I add an additional chapter affiliation to my membership?
Call, email, or sign up through the online store https://adk.org/product/affiliate-memberships/. You can affiliate with additional chapters free of charge.
How often is Adirondac magazine published?
Adirondac is published quarterly.
Does ADK offer a digital version of Adirondac?
Yes! The digital version is available for active members through your online profile on ADK.org.
Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes, all but $10 for your Adirondac subscription are tax deductible.
